Enable Inclusion Team vacancy:

Position: Specialist Practitioner and Service Lead

Grade:   Enable Trust £55,208 (Full time £69,010)

Hours:   29.6 hours per week

Start date: 1st September 2024

Contract type: Fixed term contract until 31st October 2025.

Working base: Hybrid working – home and Enable Trust Bristol school sites in Alveston, Thornbury, and Yate.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and capable psychologist or practitioner (clinical/educational psychology or other professional background, eg RCN, BCBA etc) to lead the Enable Inclusion Team (EIT).  

EIT delivers evidence-based services to children, families and schools to support children and young people with social, emotional and/or mental health needs. Primarily, EIT support CYP at risk of permanent exclusion from school and those presenting with emotionally-based school-avoidance (EBSA).  EIT uses models from the world of Contextual Behavioural Science, including Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), DNA-V and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).

You will participate in the delivery and development of the service as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, to include involvement in clinical activity, audit and evaluation of the service, outcome evaluation and governance. lead and deliver DNA-V coaching services for children and staff in schools in various local authorities. 

This post represents a unique and exciting opportunity to continue to build a scientifically-grounded and innovative psychological service from the ground up, in order to genuinely promote educational and wider prosperity for young people including – but not limited to – those with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).  In addition, the innovative nature of the project extends into its evaluation, which includes active research links with psychology and education departments at Bangor University, University of Warwick and Bath University. 

You will be part of Enable Trust, the host, working in partnership with Pathways Learning Centre on this project.
